Fatal ACCiDCirr. On Wednesday of
tnisweex, Annie, daughter orueorge
Pross, of this place, met' her death in a
most unexpected and pninful manner,
Some member of the family had loaded
a pistol for the purpose of (hooting a
worthies dog, but bad failed to uso it
taking a weapon of anuther kind for
that purpose. The revolver was placed
somewhere up stairs in thehoiiso, and
no more attention paid to it. Annie
went into the room where the pistol
was, and in a few minutes her mother
heard it discharged. 8be repaired to
the spot, where site found her daughter
lying on the floor, unconscious, with
blood streaming from a bullet hole
near the left eye.
A physician wns brought aa soon a
possible, who found the wound fatai.
She lingered for a few hours, and died
about halfsyast 8 P. M. It ia supposed
that, seeing the weapon, and having
known the purpose for which it had
been loaded, and that the dog had been
killed, she thouehtthe piece had been
dischargod. She consequently on this
upposltion, picked it up and through
curiosity, and in handling it. the fatal
hull was sent through her brain. Hhe
