Sr. Joaws, N. F., Sept. 27.—The expedition
of Dr. Hayes and Bradford, the artist, has re
turned'trom the Arctic regions, entirely sue;
cessful in; every object, and well. They
penetrated the middle ice,in which the British
steam-whaler Alexandria Ras crushed by the
ice and lost. ' Her crew was saved.
