This morning there was great indignation

Skixikg Bonos Tickets —John P. Medarv was
arrested yesterday and taken before Aid. Hood
upon the charge of obtaining money under false
pretences. He slopped at the house of Dr. wal

and Messrs. Carncrotß & Dixoy complain that
every night they are annoyed by the presenta

to unsuspecting citizens. Medary was committed
for a further bearing.
Jivesii.e Tihkk George Gar Hand, a yonth

Thhkic is great excitement about Sixth and
Muiket streets to-day In consequence of a re
ported “raid” to be made to-morrow ou the
Mammoth Clothing House of Wanamakor A
Brown. The whole, force of Oak Hall is on the
alert to meet it, aud have thrown up huge tortili
cations of elegant Clolblug lor Men and Boys, ou
all the tables and counters and shelves of their
buildings. But they cannot hope successfully to
reflat the attack j and, counting discretion the
beat part of valor, they have determined upon au
“ uncondlllonal aurrender ” to tbelr customers,
and will offer no resistance, but allow the raiders
to cany off their valuable stock at prices so low
that their hearts will surely relent, and compel
them to otk the Oak Halfcra “ploase charge a
little more."
