My office was on the second story of a brick building. The Safe fell with the floor and walls into the cellar. On Wednes day it was impossible for men to work on the ruins; the debris had become so hot. I got it out oil Thurs day, the second day after the tire, and opened it. The valuable papers, some small account books, also some, notes, were preserved in excellent condition, every line and word legible. I consider this an excellent test of your Fire-Proof Safe, and assure you it was a surprise to me to And anything inside after such a ter rible fire, no water having been thrown on the build ing.
