A Burtr.Esour: FIREMEN'S PARADE.—For some
time past. when the firemen have turned out for
the reception of visiting companieS, or companies
belonging to this city who have been away, the
rear line has been brought up . by a burlesque
company. Originally the burlesquers were called
the 'Screw Guzzle" Hose, but more recently the
title has been "Duster Steam Fire. Engine Com
pany, No. 134." This morning the "Misters"
started on an excursion to Wiliningtoe;Delaiva re,
and paraded through a number of streets previ
ous to their departure. A baud of music headed
the procession. Then followed pioneers
carrying brooms and axes. The com
pany then followed, dragging an excellent
imitation of a steam fire engine. All the men
hi the line were dressed in straw hats, linen coats,
red shirts and black pantaloons. As a substitute
for wreaths of dowers, generally carried by the
firemen, some of the men wore around their
necks wreaths composed of doughnuts. The
parade created considerable merriment along the
streets. This evening the "Du,sters" will return
to the city, and there Is to be a "grand recep
tion." Some eight or ten burlesque companies
villappear in the procession. The line will form
at Broad and Christian streets at eight o'clock,
and move over a route - which includes almost
every section of the city. If the "Dusters" are a
specimen of what the companies are to be, the
parade of this evening will be one of the most
arousing ever witnessed In the city.
The route of the parade•this evening will be as
follows: Form on Broad, right resting on Chris
tian, down Christian to Third, up Third to Ches
nut. up Chesnut to. Twelfth, up rwelfth to Arch,
up Arch to Thirteenth, up Thirteenth to Race,
down Race to Third, up Third to Girard avenue,
