TEN STATES.
The Rebel Sympathizers Triumph in
Maryland - atid Delawares:-
We give below the returns received of the
result in the twelve States which - held eieo
lions yesterday. It will be seen .that 'the
glorious Union cause has received no check
North or West, but that it is everywhere
triumphant, from Massachusetts to the, Far
West, In Maryland and Delaware the re
sult has been adverse.

in the Island counties, Dodge, Darling and
3Einthphreys's districts,but gain three in the
River counties, viz—Van.Wyck, in place of
Winfield, in the Eleventh; Robertson,_ in
place of Reedford, in the Tenth, - and Cor
k*, in:phice of Hubbell, in the Thirteenth.

The unusually heavy Democratic majori
ties in New York and. Kings county have
probablY been overcome by the proportion
ably heavy majoritie s the other way in the

twenty-one in number, are Democrats, and
the whole regular Democratic county ticket,
with the exception of Charles G. Halpine
(Miles O'Reilly), Rep., for Register, who is
elected by a large majority. The Republi
can gains in the country have astonished
everybody. The following are examples:

publican gain, 3,200.
St. Lawience county—Republican major
ity, 7,500; Republican gain, 600.
Dutchess county—Republican majority,
1,400; Republican gain, 700.

The Congress throughout the State will be
about as at present. The Republicans still
hold both branches, of the Legislature, hay
ing gained in the country more ,than they
lost in the cities. •

Staterto-day resulted in a splendid victory
for the flinion party. The State ticket, corn

For Congress, Wm. Windom, in the First
district, will have about 6,000 majority, a
gain of about 1,600 over the-vote of 1864.
In the Second district Ignatius Donnelly
is elected by about 2,700 majority, a gain of
about 200 over the vote of 1864.
