To-Monnow mr-C,ANDRN:-7.-4To-morrow
will be an important day in Camden as well
as throughout the State. The election is one
which is of vital consequences to the people
and big with importance to all concerned.'
The Union, Republican ticket., is composed
of true:and tried gentlemen, those who have
never aided and abetted'Areason in any
shape :or form, but have, on :"the contrary,
given largely of their means; efforts, time
and labor to assist onr bravevolunteers in the
field while fighting the battles of their coun
try against the hosts of secession. Against
them the Copper-Johnsonites have made a
mongrel or hybrid, ticket renresenting
principle incompatible with, the future in
terests and safety of the Government. This
ticket it is the duty of the Unionists to de
feat. They ought to go to the polls early,
and see that no cheafing is carried on by
their opponents. They should not fail to
make preparations for getting out every
voter.-- Let vehiolearbe engaged to convey
the old and enfeebled to the polls, so that
they may be enabled to speak their
sentiments at the ballot-box against
the usurpation and fatal policy of
Andrew Johnson. There are a number
of such persons in Camden and they ought
to be attended to without 'fail. Close scru
tiny should also be observed so that every
person shall have a fair chance to deposit
his vote, and that no one entitled to it shall
be deprived of voting on any technical
grounds. Men well versed in the laws con
cerning elections should be placed at all the
polls to see that no one shall be unfairly
challenged and deprived of his vote. If
this is done, there is little doubt but that
the entire Union ticket will be successful.
No moment should be lost from the time
the polls, open at 7 o'clock in the morning
until they close at 4.53 in the afternoon.
A BIG Tußrrotrx.—The Republicans of
Atlantic County on Saturday afternoon held
a mass meeting at Absecom, which was
larger than any ever held at that thriving
village. Delegations from the settlements
and hamlets for miles around the country
poured into the place with vehicles gayly
and appropriately decorated with evergreens
flowers and flags. About two thousand per
sons were in attendance, who were ad
dressed by Ex-Governor Pollock, Hon. A.
G. Cattail and others, in a forcible style.
The Boys in Blue and the Citizens' Cam
paign Club, of Camden, were in attendance,
and a band of music gave additional interest
to the meeting. In the evening there was a
torchlight procession. The people dispersed
with hearty cheers for Judge Moore and the
whole Union ticket.
E.xTRA SkssioN.—An extra session of the
Courts for Camden county, for the purpose
of trying appeal cases, will be held on the
15th inst., in the Court House in Camden.
