in the Treasury has resulted in a great saving or ex
pense tothe•Government; and security against frauds,
and that theafrairs of , the printing bureau have been
administered with marked ability and integrity.
In addition to this there was a report from Governor
Fenton expressly stating that be - concurred with the
report of the Committee iu everything except a reflec
tion on the New York Ba nk Note Companies.
Mr. Wilsen (Iowa) said that he 'had not concurred in
the conclusions of.the Committee. and that if the re
port bad been presented to him - for his - signatare he
would not-have signed it.
Mr. Garleld (Ohio) stated that this was the first
time he knew that the geni lemma from Ohio dissdated
from the , report of the majority. The majority had
autborizect him (Mr. Garfield) to make it, and he had
made it.
Mr. Wilson (Iowa) said that he had • been asked by
Mr. Henry Winter Davis, a member of the Commit
tee, whether t e was v filing to sign the report. and had
replied that be was not, as he did 'not • r.gree with the
anmittve in its conclusions. as set forte in the report
and revolution accompanying it.

FATAL , RAILROAD ACCIDENT.—A lad,
named Joseph Mack. seven years of age, was run
over, this mornieg, by a coal train, on the North
Pennsylvania Railroad, below Berks street, and was
instantly killed. The accident was caused by an
attempt I o jump upon the cars. The deceased resided
at N 0.1747 Man street, above Columbia avenue.
