Chess Players’ Magazine.— We have received
the February number of the Chess Players' Maga*

publication. It Appears to be edited with ability,
is handsomely printed, and gives a very good varie

itß success in this country, it appears to be edited In
the English slave interest, which will, of course,
prevent its obtaining credit or currency with us.
Ab a specimen of its animus in this particular, we
give the following extract, which holds a prominent
place in the number before us:

.. Metallic base of this Paint is composed of
the Protoxide aud Peroxide of Iron. Its proper

in the market for tbe purpose for which it is re
commended.
It hits been proved by thorough exposure, and by
com pari' on with other paiDts, to be the only re
liable Paint to resist the action of salt water and
salt atmosphere. (
It is therefore especially recorhmended for ship
bottoms, hulls, decks, boiler fronts, smoke stacks
and steam pipes. For iron railings, fences, cars,
railroad and other bridges, it is not excelled.
It is especially adapted for
t . . . M ETAL ROOFS.

It mixes and blends readily with other paints,

VJ herever this Paint has been used, it has given
ektire satisfaction, which is, we believe, more
than can be said of any other paint in the market.
