    :hs OIHLB- THE ex
gy, <fte JSOUtn vf the evening Bulletin: 1 Have
iJt toiehed reading tie memorial of the Princl
ials of the Girls’ Grammar Schools in reierence
to the late examination for candidates. Being a
recent graduate, I am prepared :tj say, afier a
ifintercourse of three years with the teichers
Z f t h o «*High School,” that they are impartial, m
conduct— just in their teachings. l Tiie Graduate
Class entertain for them tbe highest respect, and
shall always remember them with feelings of
tender regard. The candidates, it is true, have
been put to a severe test; but in this life no great
end is attained without personal tacriflce,
although the young ladies have labored, our
teachers have labored 'with them.. with
the candidate . the examination is me
worlf of one'time, with the examiners it is a
monotonous repetition; yet patience forms one of
the leading features in their, demeanor toward the
pupils. The teachers have much to contend with
in these examinations, yet no’murmur of complaint
is heard from them, for faithfulness in, the .dis
charge of duty is the characteristic that distin
guishes them, as impartial investigation will
show.
It has been said that the teachers of the “High
School” have a motive in rendering these exami
nations difficult. It is true, tney have a motive—
a high one; it is the bringing of their school to that
high standard which but few schools attain. This
is the object to which they devote time and atten
tion, yet their efforts, instead of being appreciated
And encouraged, are misunderstood and maligned*
An unbiased decision must result in pronouncing
the Principal of the ‘ ‘High School’ * a gentleman,
whose character is only equaled by his mental
abilities. Both he and the ladies associated with
bim grace the position they occupy, and add new
lustre to the profession they have chosen.

Mexican Mustang Liniment.
The parties in St. Louis and Cincinnati, who
haye been Counterfeiting the Mustang Liniment
under pretence of proprietorship, have been tho
roughly estopped by the Courts. To guard agains
further imposition, I have procured from the U. a
Treasury, a private steel plate revenue stamp,
which is placed over the top of each bottle. Each
stamp bears the fac simile of my r ignature, and*
without which the article is a Counterfeit, dan
gerous and worthless imitation. Exammeeyery
Kittle. This liiniment has been in use and grow
ing in fhvor for many years. There hardly exists
a hamlet on tuehahitable Globe that does not con
tain evidence of its wonderful effects. It is the
best emollient in the world. With 1b present im
proved ingredients, its effects upon man and beast
are perfectly remarkable. Sores are healed, pains
relieved, lives saved, valuable animals made use
ful, and untold ills assuaged. For cats, bruises,
sprains, rhenmalism, swelliEgSjbites, ents,caked
