A majority of the officers and members of
tba Grand Lodge met with Liberty Lodge
Ne. T of this place, last evening, at their
regular meetlgg, and tbe proceedings are
said to bave been of a very satistaetory,

After tba Lodge dosed the officers and
members of tbe Graod Lodge weru escorted
by their brethren of Liberty Lodge to tbe
Central Haute, where a sumptuous collation

sequently few new wells are commenced at

Clarion county are being started, even at
this inclement searon. But wben spring
opens up, experienced oil men tell us there
will be a great rath and excitement in tbtt
seotion as recent developments and present
appearances saliafy operators that Clarion
territory will prove remunerative more than
any other, tbe coming toasoo.
The, partit e are at work on the rigs, for
two or three wells, In tbe Blyson Run re
gion. T ha engine Is now being set for the well
near Clarion borough.

80 barrels a day; and several wells on th

tbe Clarion river about the Grata FUts, are
steadily producing 10, 15, and 2D barrels a
day each. We bave to report several new
strikes, the west important of which is a
well on tbe Charles Rilts farm at the sou t li
east end of Petersburg, on tbe Notingbam
eate, which last week commenced at JUU
barrels a day, and is now ym.dusing stead
ily 40 barrel'. A new well on the K!i
Logue farm, in Perry township, nearly op

menced on the Alum Rock well, and the
