Road commissioner Hixon requests us to
state tbat be baa no control over the piece
of road between this place and Kane City,
mention ol which we made a day or two
since as being lo a dilapidated condition.
He says the road alluded to is a private en
terprise, aud therefore be bss no authority

public funds for that purpose. So we sup
pose the Kane City people will have to con
