VTe give below our uiual oil report for
tbe month of October. Tbe principal in
crease, as was tbe case in tbe montb of
September, wae on tbe J. S. McCray farm,
wblob shows an average daily production
for the montb of October ol 2,8G barrel.,
against 2,326 barrela per day for tbe montb
of September, being an average Increase of
340 barrels per day. Tbe number ol wella
pumping on tbe farm in September was 24,
and during tbe montb of October bad in
creased to 42. Tbe average daily produc
tion per welt decreased from 97 barrels In
September to 64 barrels In October.
There was a deorease on tbe Dilzill
farm of 105 barrels per day. On
tbe Win. McCray a decrease Of 73 barrels
per day; Central larm 13 barrela; Niagara
latm IS barrels, and on other farms and
tracts a alight falling o9 is no See J, tbe
total amount of which will mere, than
balance tbe increase on tbe McCray and
reduce tne production at this- point

The total production of the above farms
and tracts for tbe montb of Octobsr was
4,082 barrela, a decrease of 'lit barrels
since September. Tba increase for Septem
ber over August was 459 barrels and for
August over July 1,453 barrela.

Henry C. Johnson, Jr., of Moadville. a
student in tbe Medical Department ol Mich,
igan University at Ann Arbor, in an affray
in a saloon in that place, on the night of
October 28th, shot and seriously wounded a
msn named Kane. Johnson made bis es
cape and bas not been arrested. A reward
of $500 is offered for bis arrest. He is de
scribed as tbe son of a prominent lawyer 111
Meadville.
