P. H. Watson A Co. have new woll at
the Point which is the champion ol the
district. It commenced pumping on Tues
day evening and is doing fully filty barrels
a day of heavy oil. This is tbe larcest
lubricating oil well ever struck. ,
Tbe Clark, Gardner & Scott well at the
Point, which was producing eight barrels.
has been Increased by torpedoing to twenty
barrels.
Grimm's well, at the Point, another new
strike, commenced pumping on Friday last
ana is yielding twenty barrels.
Mitchell A Sbimmons, 00 the Gilbert
tract, near the Point, also a now strike, is
doing 20 barrels.
Thomas Chess & Co.'s now well at the
Point, noticed last week as in protrcss.
