death of Mr. L. II. Stieiwood, of Mead
ville, at bis residence iu that city on Friday
last. Mr. S. bail been an invalid tor sever

weeks, when he benn to sink quite rapidly.
The deceased will tie remembered by rcanv
ot the residents of Eastern CrawlorU ns the
old-time proprietor ol the hotel on Water
street, which bore his name lor so many
