A new well was struck on the R. L. Shaw
Farm on Friday last, and la now pumping
25 barrels dally. Tbls territory Is general
ly looked upon by tbe operators as very

A new well was struck on Thursday of
last week on Middleton mo, one.lourlb of a
miles from tbe river, and one skid a half
mile from Emlentoo, wblchis Vroduclng

Is owned by Baum and Emmett, If Emlen
too. Tbe well owned by Thomas Frotbingbam,
on Callaboose Run, la now down about 150
feet. He has but one well coiog down on
tbe Run.
Tbe VTynona well, located on the Farren
Farm, at Lawrenceburg, was torpedoed on
Tbuuday last, and is now pumping 40 bar
rels daily.
The Barns k Terrel well on tbe north
bank of Church Run has been totpedoed
and is pumping twenty to twenty-Bve bar
rels of oil per day. Tbe production of this
well before being torpedoed wot tea bar
rels. Tbe Cliff well, on Fowler Ran. and own
ed by D. Reynolds & Co.,hfch was doing
only 2 barrels, waa torpedoed on Monday,
and is now producing 15 barrels daily.
Tba Niagara, Reynolds & Co.. on tbe
Wm. Parker tract below Church Kun.wklcb
waa producing about 18 barrels, was toipe
doed last week and is new yielding 30 bar
rels dally.
Tbe Williams well, on tbe river, on land
of James Parker, Is now through the third
sand with a good show. It is owned by J.
n. Haines, D. Reynolds, F. A. Deitricb,
Dr. R, S. Wallace, D. Leech and Mrs. S. 3.
and J. C. Wallace.

In town a day or two since, engaged in pass
ing counterfeit $20 bills on a New Turk
bank. Several ot our business men were
victimized. Tbe fraud was not discovered

feit bills are of an exceedingly dangerous
