A sensation has been created ia New Al-1
bany, Intl., by Br. P. B. Iloyt, of Norfolk,
Ohio. lie put np at tbo Depew House in
bat city in February last, In Company with
a very pretty woman, whom ho represented
to be bis wife, and two children, aed thir
teen and fittcen. Ue paid bis bills prompt
ly, and shortly afterward rented and occu-pit-d
a bouse in that city. The woman Mu
ted that (he whs a native of Belfast, Ireland,
and was to hove married the Doctor, but
hat she afterward decided not to do so. She
said she was the wife of a British officer who
is in China, ttut due came with her child to
Cincinnati, and went into the millinery bu
siness, and that, being sick,, she sought the
attendance of the physician above nameJ-
thnt the Doctor's bill was more than she
could pay, and the agreement of marriage
was accordingly tnndo hf way of settlement.
She states that tho Doctor bas gone to
Crawfordsrille, Ind., and that he left a wife
and Gvo children in NorWalk. taking one
child with him when bo left that place.
Tho New York Express says the suspen
sion of Frank Patterson & Co., pnekers and
commission merchants, was announced yes
terday.
