the reform of the "Court of Final Appeal,"
This tnitnnal is the highest court of appel

separation of Church and State.
It Is singular to hear that a new Metho

$40,000, and was entirely paid for by the
rich men of Boston, ail of whom belonged
to the pawed Methodist Churches, of that

...Stranger things have happened than this as
sumption of the confederate debt, scaled down

The Inmates. on the explosion taking place,

Almost every pane of ghee In the windows was
broken on the Bret door of :the house, and those
in the winticrwsof the back parlor were blown
away as completely as if a iglazier had been pro

was broken into minute pieces, and mattered
to every direction over the rich carpets of the
parlor. The house, Which was comparatively
new, and.very strongly built, was ,taken as If
by an earthrprake. In the front par: v the cell

as also the aping of trie bed-room adjoining
the back parlor. The stairs leading to the se
cond Moor, which were on the opposite aide of

Up stairs there war like ec deuce or a terrible
explosion, the wall being more or le., started,
the paper torn, and the panels our one stile of
the window to front of the bedroom were forced
in two or three Mehra by the pressure of tar
air expanded by the explosion. A door, leading

the ream. The roof itself was also slightly
moved front its position.
Down stales the fareiture was generally dinar

The moot curious freak of the explosion was to
blow the curtains off the back parlor windows
oat of the windows, and lodge_ them on some
scaffolding erected against an wiping -building
in proceep,of construction. One curtain was
blown on to the root of this building, which Is
a three story one, and there for a time it waved,
