The Income Tax of the 22d District.
A recapitulation of the Hate of the several sub
divisions of the Twenty-Second District, now in
the hands of H. A. Weaver, Esq., Assessor, ex
hibits the following summary of the amount of
income tax to be paid for the year 1864, Mein&
log itemises, and the tax on carriages, watches,
pianos, silver plate, etc.

Yesterday evening the "Great Eastern Brass
Band," under the leadership of Professor Jacob
Rohre, serenaded Brig. Gen. S. B. M. Young. at
his residence, corner of Rebecca and Mulberry
strode, Allegheny. The band being composed
chiefly of his immediate neighbors, the compli
ment was given him as a token of respect and
gratitude for the eminent services which he has
rendered to the country, as well as a hearty wel
come on his return to Isla home and family. The
General responded In a neat and appropriate
speech, thanking them for their cordiality and
gond feeling.
The "Great Eastern Bran Bond" can be con
sidered as a local Institution of the lower part of
the-First ward of Allegheny, Us members being
nearly all attaches of the various steel and iron
foundries recently built on Rebecca West. Un
der the leeeerablp•of Professor Jacob Rohre they
have attained sect efficiency este cope with any
band In the two cities.

The minutes of the last annual session of thin
body are just out, from which we gather the fol
lowing interesting facts: The rcembers and pro
bationers of the Church within the bounds of

636,046. The missionary collection in 1052
amounted to $19,720. In 1865 the noble gum of

ficers and teachers, ,6671: scholars, 35,750; vol
umes in library, 116,196; scholars in infant
classes, 7,214.
