Representation of the United States of Amer

and Missouri Railroad Company, a corps-
ration established by the Laws of the State
of lowa, and to which the said State grant.

the' Burlington and Missouri River Rail
road Company, a corporation organised un•
der the laws of the State of Iowa) and to

be paid to Stephen G. Blontano, or to his
legal representatives, in the current money
of the i llnited States, the sum of forty-one
thousand seven hundred and eighty-two
dollars and tbirtptight cents; and to Juan
del Carman Vinci, or his legal represen
tatives, the sum of one thousand one hun
dred and seventy dollen; in the Oliver

Interior that said company has completed
in good running order a section of twenty
consecutive miles of the main line of said
road wee; of Nevada, then the Secretary
shall convey to said company oneethird,
and nemore, of the lands granted for, said
connecting branch. And when said com
pany shall complete an additional section
of twenty consecutive miles and furniehthe
Secretary of the Interior with the proof as
aforesaid, then thesaid Secretary may con
vey to the said company another third of
the land; granted for said connecting
branch; and when sold company shall
complete an additional section of twenty
miles, making In all sixty milis west of
Nevada, the Secretary, upon proof furnish
ed as aforesaid, may convey to the eald
company the remainder of said lands to
aid in the construction of said connecting
branch: Provided, however, That no lin&
shall be conveyed to said company on ac
count of said connecting branch road until
the Governor of the State of lows shall
certify to the Secretary of the Interior that
the 'same shall have been completed en a
first-clue railroad. And no land shall be
conveyed to said company situate and ly
ing within fifteen miles of the original

road, as laid down on a map on file in the

That it shall be the duty of the Secretary
of the Interior, and he la hereby required,
to reserve a quantity of land embraced in

satisfactorily completed; but such assignee
shall not in any case be released from the

that he has resided in the city one year
