They were ail hospitably entertained by the

some men were angered in hoisting barrels
to the second story of Fshnestock's white lead
worts, on Liberty street, near the outer de
pot, the rope broke and a barrel fell Rem
the leg •of one of the workmen, injuring him
severely. We were unable to asoertain his
name.

Representatives of the Unard States of Anis"-

section of the "act to regulate trade and
intercourse with she Indian tribes and to
preserve peace on the frolltiera," approved
June thirtieth, eighteen hundred andtbirty
four, be and the same is hereby amended
so as to read as toiletry, to wit : uSett 20
And be It farther enacted, That if any per
son chill sell, exchange, give, tarter, or
disposeof any epirltuous liquors or wine to
any Indian under the charge of any la
dials superintendent or Indian agent ap' ,
pointed by the United Suttee, or shall in
troduce or attempt to introduce any spirit.
