`Death of Kis. A. D. Richardson.
The many frionds of A. D. Richard:lOn,
widely known its a War Correspondent of this
gams!, will hear with deep regret that his
vita died on Pride, last, at her home ka Mus

disease war congestion of the brain, induced

hare taken this form h to be attributed, we
hats no doubt, to the intense anxiety she bar

prisonment. She is simply a victim to rebel

Mr. Richardson, with another correspond
eat of the Trade,, Mr. Juline Drowns, ; wed
taken prisoner on the 3d of May last, .while
attempting to pass Vicksburg in a tag, which
was blown up by 4 ,0 rebel 'hot. They were
taken from the water and carried within the
rebel hues , and - then sent forward to Rich
-landloofat-poirdes letheirporlarfoienhange.
On arriving at Mein:non& they were thrown
into Libby Prison. - A eorrespondent of the
WorieLtakan with then and paroled u• they
were, Wa immediately released. Two or three
_ aorrespondants of the Ff.clif, and a number
of other civilians, captured a month
later, have bean, after ' a brief im
prisonment, exchanged. The applications
on behalf of Mama Richardson and
Browne from the auccualve Commissioners of
BaChange, and a direct appeal from Mrs.
Richardson herself .to Mr. Onld, the Rebel
Commisrloner, for the release of her husband,
have been disregarded. Prom Libby Pascal

of faith in regard to their paroles, rho length
and severity of their imprisonment, are due
