'were brigaded together in the spring of

has alwaye,oxisted feelings of most cordial

then they have battled together in all the
hard contested bottles of the war, the one re

When it so-happens, which is not often, that
one regintentis ordered out, and not the other,
some other regiment takes the place of one of
them, yon will soon hear complaints and mur
murs that the twin elder is not along, instead
of the one assigned, for the time being, to her
plant.
Now we are not living that there is not
good understanding liet;een these two regi
ments and others, for between the soldiers
of all the respective regiments there are
good feeling.—a feeling of sympath which
uunite'all In one common bond of interest,
and driving for the attainment of one com •
mon interest. But then there are peculiar
attachments, and this is one of them. The
respective soldiers or these regiments can
:Met forget their companionship together in
the army end their privations and encounters.
Of mune, it is not now oar purpose to
speak ofparticular occasions. Wis will only
refer to the cavalry fight:it New Hope church,
south of the Rapidan, and the pert taken by
the twin regiments. When they arrived at
the scene of action, they were at once dis
mounted and sent to the iellef of the 3d Penna.
