Sturges, 'Weal:toed in the direction of Banbridge, forty miles from Knoxville. Saturday morning we drove the enemy's videttea out of the village, when a, portion of our infantry under Oen. Park, also moved up, but learning the enemy's full foroe ' beyond Banbridge, they fell bark to their, former position. On Sunday morning the enemy seeing that be had drawn our cavalry as far as possible, he made a desperate attack on our lines with I Head'. and Buehrod Johnson's divisions, led on by Hampton's Cavalry.
