souri is important to the whole North, the
speculations going on at Jefferson City are
exciting. The complicated nature of the eon
test seems to render It probable that the Leg
islature will adjourn, leering the question as
it found it. The proposed sate to Jobe C.
Fremont A CO. to gaining a few friends, but
the undercurrent of this fnendship, In a ma
jority of cases, may be traced to personal
sympathy with Fremont. • tremendous ar
ray of facts and figures is daily paradell on
both sides to prore that the eels would be
minuets, and to show that it would be highly
advantageous. The "sell-outs" are profess
edly anxious to rollere the stab of It. burden
of taxation, hot _Abe sacrifice which, in their
present condition, would hare to be made of
the roads is a weighty consideration, and is
