lel Helmick. on Wednesday morning, fell
from the dock of the steamer Telegraph, ly
ing at the Brownsville wharf, and was
drowned. Deceased had been employed as
a dock-hand on the steamer Gallatin, but had
been discharged' and paid off, and had gone
aboard the Telegraph to take passage to New
Geneva, where he resided. He was consid
erably intoxicated at the-time, which was no
doubt the cause of his falling overboard. His
body was recovered..
