vre confided in the bravery, energy and iuvin

latter, we are happy to state the fact that
our fears are not excited, for the Democracy
are up and.doing. There is at this time no
apathy, 'resting ever our party. as some might
suppose, and Our snceos in November next
Appears certain. It is,true, that we have no
fears of the Fillmore party, further than the
influence it, seem.; to exert in the furtherance
of Fremont's chances for an election. We
•. believe that all the Fillmore - managers, wheth
er North or South. East or West, would ten
fold rather see Fremont elected President
than Ja.ues Buchanan, mid there is no doubt
of the' fact, that the opposers of Democracy
perfectly understand each other, or at least so
they pretend to make it appear ; yet Stevens
with 'him conservatism could nut unite them,
and now we are satisfied that this will not be
the case, because the Fillmore oppose the
rreinont and the Frcmgmt the Fillmore..--so
