The news by this arrival 'froth the Crimea,
the present - seat of active hostilities . , is. of a ,
highly interesting character. Sebastopol: at
the last accounts. was invested by the allies•
on the :moth and east, .and the guns of their
fleets and batteries were playing upon the walls•

It 'was supposed that - the siege artiltety of
the allies would he mounted on the batteries
around Sebastopol on the 4th instant..the born
