gauge railroad is soon. to he built from
Binghamton to Dushore,, via the Wyalus
in creek to Wyablaing, and crossing the
river at that point to &gar Run, and so

prove well founded and the road speedily

keg 'actory at Mon ton, on the Seth
ult., it is said is about $5,000. The build
irig and machinery were tiew, the7factory
having just been gotten ready for busi
ness. The Factory was owned by a stock
Company, on some of whom the loss fang
quite heavily, as there was no insurance
either on building, or machinery.

the outward. explorations and sur
veys having been made duriarg the last
summer, they have determined to move
the• breaker about one mile to the east it

menced on the ditch to drain the opening
that will connect with the new work.

THE LeHaysville Advertiser of last
week is responsible for the following:
"Two or three weeks since, while Jas.
Goodell's_little daughter was feeding
a hen with a brood of chickens, the hen
picked a thimble off the finger of the girl
and swallowed It. When the fact was
_communicated to the mother' search was
made on the premises, and not finding
the lost article, the old ben was caught,
and as the child, stated, the thimble was
found in the hen's stomach, which was
probed, and the article taken out. Strange
as it may seem, -the
feathered mother still
lives atid cares for her- happy fathily of
chickens."
