Of EDWIN Foluo's case of tumor, we called
on Dr. DITARNBURT and 'learned that he
had been a sufferer for three years with
it. It was a tumor of the jaw, and known
as Epulis, having its origin in a diseased

COLONEL DAvis, of the Doylestown
Democrat, who with his friend, Mr. Mr

home, publishes a very interesting
count of the adventures befalling the
"tramps." The Colonel is enthusiastic
over the beauties of the route, particular
ly in crossing the mountains, via, the old
Berwick turnpike, and speaks in glowing
terms of the kindness and _courtesy with
which they were everywhere treated.
Whether the' cordial reception they' met
with, and the generous manner in which.
they were fed and lodged was due to
their prepossessing appearance, or to Al
lay the fears of tramps which is general
throughout the country, the. Colonel does
not venture an opinion. Certainly those
who sheltered and fed him, would be
more than repaid by the geniality pf his
presence, sind, the charm and huthor of
his experiences and reminiscences.
TOR NEW DEPOT.—The new passenger
depot of the Northern Central Railway,
at this place, Is now completed and 'in
use. " It is a hindsorae structure, with a
slate roof, and finished inside of hard
wood, and comfortable seats, where one
can sit and not feel so Much the tedium
of waiting for a train.' There is a fine
platform of oak in front, and the drive
behind is sprinkled with gravel. In all
respects, beauty, as well as utility, seems
to have been regarded. No one thing
was more needed in our town and our
people have to thank a Company which
recently did a laudable thing in reducing
local rates of passenger fare. The depot
is divided into four rooms, ladies room,
gentleman's room, baggage room and of
fice, and it is designed that it shall be
kept in a contrast from-the old depot in
the matter of neatness. Mr. .1. T. Fow-

gentlemanly deportment and pleasing
