EAST WINDHAM ITEMS.—The Elder is
at borne a len , days, but leaves soon to
respond to a call from Northern New_
York. His family will remain for the
present..
ANDREA Morn, the blacksmith, is at
his old stand on the corners. He is a good
workman, and consequently secures a
large share of patronage.
The WHEATON'S are doing well in the
line of improvements. Their new barn
will add much to the convenience of the
farm, and testify largely to the skill and
enterprise of the builders. Don't know
but they intend to throw some' of their
neighbors in the shade. Possibly they may
be able to do it, though it be difficult. As
to
. the WHEATON'S, some of theni are
large, and others are tall, consequently
the problem solved is abons as follows :
large plus, tall dials, strong and capable
business men: No wonder, then if they
do rear,a large, tall barn. - But we will
see what the final finish will be—liovi
much, when' eompleted, it will excel oth;
ers near by. Will they paint all around
and what will the vane be?
WICIGIIT DUNUAN'still keeps himself at
the farm on the hill, and makes his stay
in the Kuykeiidall mansion. Ile is just
about again from a few days sickness.,
%Yuma'r is a very good farmer.
The above must suffice for Windham

important event of late occurrence, 'Lig.

If my memory serves me, the noted

on both branches of the Susquehanna,
Shamokin (now Sunbury) being his head

his loins" was said of Jolts the Baptist,
not of DAVID the missionary. BRAINARD'S

did not kill him, nor did they harm him,
