OTO THE boy of ten, fifty years seems a

ODD-FgLLOWS DAY IN IFYALIISISO.-
Many of your readers will probably recol
lect that on the morning of Om 24thAf
July, 1875, a terrible fire was raging In.
Wyalusing, which not only made a num'-
ber of families , homeless; but consumed
the Hail in which the Old Fellows and
Grangers were , • accustomed to-, meet, to
gether with their furniture and: equip
ments. At once measures began to be
set on foot for securing a new and suit
able place of. meeting. A plan was adopt
ed in which the two organizstions could
co-operate; a building erected, and com
pleted early in the present month, and
'Thursday, January 25, was set apart for
dedicating the hall to the uses and pur
poses of Odd 'Fellowship, by the officers
of the Grand, Lodge of Pennsylvania.
The weather was, pheasant and the trav
eling good. Before noon delegations from
the various Lodges, which had been in
vited to participate in the ceremonies, be
gan to arrive. At two o'clocki : the hour
appointed for the services to begin, the
ball, was crowded to its utmost capacity,
and many Were compelled to turn away,
unable to gain admittance. Most Worthy
Grand Master Bohm took charge of the
ceremonies, which were conducted ac
cording to the beautiful ritual prescribed
for such occosions. The singing 'wal led
by; the Wyalusing Glee Club, Miss Eirt LY
STAL.11)1:11 presiding at the organ.
Iturtfediately at the close of the dedica
tion. the assembly adjourned - to the M.

full of people, Where the Right Worthy

delivered an:address. setting forth .in
masterly way' the principles anti

of the order. For more than an hOur lie
held the undivided attention of his audi
ence to a discourse which, for logical ar
rangement, conclusive reasoning. and at
tractive style, is seldom equaled. The
unanimous verdictis, it was good.
After a slipper which was served'from
5 to 7 o'clock, the- evening- was devoted
to an exempliti, ation of the unwritten
work of the oriS'r, addresses from the
distinguished visitors and others. Alto
kether the day was one- of- great, joy to
tho Odd fellows of Wyalasing, and/ of
profit to all.
At a - meeting of White Lily Lodge, No.
FP'!, held in their ILdl, .Jan. '2.7, it was
unauinnmsly resolved:
1. ;nett the thaidis of this Lodge be ex

our festival on the 25th inst.,
