The older lad wont to his. father's chest, took out one hundred and twenty dollars, went to the cowshed, and diVided the' money with the other bay, whereupon they both started for Michi gan, by way of Monroe Boro'. Arriving at Monroe, they concluded to make some ;purchases, such as clothing, revolver, gloves, and carnet-sack; and in doing all thiS they elthibited so much money that the merchant's suspicion wai aroUsed.
