Winonas, of this.place, and, the Mystigs
of Elmira, played on `the grounds of the
former, on Saturday aftentoon last, was ,
decidedly the best exhibition of ball play
ing eser witnessed here. The triumph of
the Winonas was well: deserved, as they
played together—and to win. The Elmi
ra boys did some very nice . playing, but
all through the game it was evident
they were not strong enough to cope suc
cessfully with so expert.. a nine as :the
Winonaso- The game was umpired by
13011E1PrFINCIT, of Elmira, who in that
'position combines all the requisites to
successfully fill it. Not a murmur'- was
beard from either nine diring the prog
ress of the rame, or at its close. Should
anothef series of games be arranged lie

hearty welcome when they choose to visit

who is a general favorite with her( ac
quaintances, was the recipient of very
costly and rare presents. We understand
the happy pair are to take rooms at the
Means House on their return from their

Templar Celebration at Prospect, On the

The following resolutions were-otlered
and unanimously adopted:
Resolved, That while we are heartily in
favor of the success of the principles of
the Prohibition Party„ and of ;the ticket
representing it, yet we would recommend
that they should in no way be allowed to
become a test of membership as a matter
of discussion in the Lodges.
Resolved, That we earnestly urge Tem
peranoo men, whatever party they may
support, do discriminate against all sup
porters of the liquor traffic.
The following resolutions of thanks

Resolved, That, we tender our thanks to
