zation, and to it many outright failures can be
directly, traced. Our schools, especially rural
schools, unfortunately, are managed by our di
rectors so that, as a rule, strange teachers are
employed for each succeeding . term of 'our
schools. The teacher who tains, a stranger to
his pupils, enters the schoolroom without a
well arranged plan by which to begin his du
ties, places a serioriiiropedimeint in the way of
obtaining his pupil's confidence, without which
no teacher can be called sucissful, Ido not
, believe in trusting to luck, inspiration or Provi
! 4binoe in this - matter. The teacher about to

obtain all the information possible, about the

should consult the directors, who `should be
