We feel terjeas, and shall Mourn for her. but
not as though we had no hope beyond this
world; for wo know she died happy, and was
willing to go when God 'so ordained it. She
said.on the morning of Nov: 1: " If I can -only
die to-day, what a blessing It will be.". Aitho'
she had formed ihany dear associations for the

HARPER'S MAGAZINE.. -
1 ! .Noli'ccs'of the Press. I
The ever-increasing 'circulation of this excellent
monthly paper:* proves its continued adaption to'
popular desires and needs. . Indeed. when We
think into how many homes it penetrates every
month, ire must consider it as one of the educator*
as well as entertainers of tho public mind, for its
vast popular.ty has then won by no appeal to
stupid prejudices or depraved tastes.—Boston Globi,
The character jwhich this Maim:int possesses for
variety, enterprise r artistic wealth, and literarY
culture that has kept, pace 'with, if it has not led
the times. should cause its conductors to regard it
with justitialxle emplacing. It also entitles them lb
a great claim , upon the public. gratitude. The
Magazine has; done good and:not evil all the days of
its life.—Brooklyn Eagle i '
