hid putted through four wars : the Revolution,
the War 01812, - the Maims War, and the late
Bebeilien. Hs had a distinct nix:twit-don of ma
ny interesting incidents that occurred piing
the Revolutionary war, and retained hil physi
cal strength until within two - weeks of his
death... He hid n e t used any strong drink in
tweitty4Te years, and 'lnver, used tobacco"' in
his life. Hahad had four children, twenty-three
grand cmtaren, and thirty great' grand chil
dren.

The Sullivan coal is of the first quality for
domestic purposts, 'and generating steam ; and
there is no doubt of its being an excellent coal
to nee in the blast furnace.
In connection with these coals there is any
xgantity of iron ore, siL-Sing in quality from 30
to 60 per cent. of pure iron. We, bavo nearly
completed, a merchant, br iron, and nail null.
We wish next to erect a gooll blast farnace, ao
as to be able to make all the pig-iron foi usc in
this section of the .State.
