W. IL 'Vaughan, while cutting brush, killed the.
snake Mr. A. referred to, abant 29 miles frnin

the snake to the house, and atter -a thorough ,

and looked at.the snake; and remarked that it
was the largest ono of the kind lie ever saw; be

he could take it home with him, and take the
oil out, as it was worth two dollars an ounce.
Mr. T. replieerthat he could have the snake.,

- Dis - ruEsiuwo St:tenor- —On Yesterday morning
about half-past nine o'clock, our town was
thrown into a fiiverish state of eteiternerit;:frotn
thcannonneement of a suicide, by taking strych
nine, of Ilk Julia Tuttle, aged about 17 years,
danghter of Mr. Horace Tattle, iialoon
on Trey street. The only reason assigned fir
this rash of self-drestructien is,dbe "imposed
removal .1' her parents to plosilmrg, newt
county, Juliiihad said i!),eitedly to members
of the family, and-others, that ".she would re
main in Canton, if she had to be put under
ground in tie grave-yard." This threat. was. re
garded as nothing more than extreme' regret
at leaving her present place of abode:
Misg Tuttle:MlS a younglady of a Genial di°A
position, prepossessing ' in appearance, and had

representation made to him by theyonng lady,

was mneh infested." On this plausible pretext
the deadly drug was prepared, properly label
led, and delivered.

Sewing Alachino I purchased from. you some
three mdattis ago has been in very active use
ever since, and has given good satidaction. I
would not have bought a machine with a com

to find a machine ontside the combination which
has proven, in my' judgment, equal to any in it.
The difierencein the price I consider so much
