TERRIBLE AND FATAL ACCIDENTOLI
Saturday last, the' inhabitants of Bretaport,
Chemung Co., were atartled to hear that a
boy had been torn in pieces in the mill of
JOBEZPEI RODIIININ.
It seems that a little boy of about twelve
years of age, a son of CHAIINCIT &maxiNthe
engineer of the mill, had been grinding
pocket-knife on a large grind-atone,
was run by means of • heavy belt. The
belt passes about the main driving shaft•of
the mill, making about three hundred revo
lutions,. per minute. By some means he
was caught in the belt by one foot. In an
instant he was made to revolve about the
shaft with such velocity as to actually tear
the leg and hip from the body, throwing the
disembered limb some twenty feet away,-
The head was beaten all into pieces, the
skull bones and every bit of the brains be
ing scattered about on the floors and tim
bers.
The body revolved with such velocity as
to break a brace in the heavy timbers over
head, four by six inches, and four feet long,
severing it completely.—Elniira izefle.

AYER'S HAIR VIGOR, For restoring
Gray Hair to its natural Vitality and Colon—
& dressing which is at once agreeable,
healthy, and effectual for preservingthe
hair. Ruled or gray hair ts restored to ifs
original color with the gloss and freshness of
youth. Thin hair is thickened, falling hair
checked, and baldness often, though not
always, cured by its use. Nothing can re
store the hair where the follicles are destroy
ed, or the glands atrophied and decayed.
But such as remain can be saved for useful
ness by this application. Instead of fouling
the hair with a pasty sediment, it will keep
it-clean and vigorous. Its occasional use
will prevent the hair from turning gray or
falling of consequently prevent bald
ness. Free from those deleterious substan
ces which make some preparations . danger
ous and injurious to the hair, the Vigor can
only benifit but not harm it. If wanted
merely for a hair dressing," nothing else
can be found so desirable. Containing nei
ther oil nor dye, it doe; not soil white cam
bric, and yet lasts long on the hair, giving it
a rich glossy lustre and grateful perfume.
