Paine, of Tiey, announ cing hie; inability to be present, accompany _ ing which was an account of his recent visit to the Giant's Causeway. The reading of it was postponed till later. After this an opportunity was given for those present to register their nam e s. Mr. Chas. R. Coburn - then offered the fol luwing for discussion : Resolved, That no person should receive a certificate from the County Superintendent as a teacher of our common schools. who is less than eighteen years old, and who has not,a'fair knowledge of all the branches re quired by law to be taught, and who has not made the business of teaching a study for at . least three months.
