place, went to Athens on Thursday, Oct.
31st, to contest for the silver pitcher sand
goblet, (which was to be given by the Ath
ens Farm Stock Association to the winning ,
club) and the championship of Bradford:
County. The Tiogas and Winonas had
agreed to decide • their respective claims to
both the pitcher and championship by a ,
single,game. The attending circumstances
of this game were very unfavorable to ball .
playing ; the day was cold and windy, and,
