While :be speakers generally expressed the desi rablene of the union, yet Synod thought that the terms proposed by the joint atm iiiittee of the two assemblies - should be mb4- i tied in several particulars. In the evening an informal meeting ,was held to consider the interests of the Sabbath school at which many interesting fats were dicited. On Sabbath the pulpits of Towanda and ~ •i the neighboring .e inches were supplied l the members of Synod. In the Presby -4 lac church in addition to the regular corning and evening_ services, the sacra wLt the Lord's supper was celebrated in the afternoon. The sessions - 43f Synod were Attended with tnarked interest. both by the ww•ntber's and by the citizens of the TOwn. I he debates were conducted in fraternal Tirit, and a general good feeling seemed to PT, rail. The occasion will be long remem bered by eitr people.
