plornf Mr. John Sykes, of Clymer town
ship,.died very suddenly • last Wednesday
evening: In company with a companion

he was walking'on the road 'a t fifty rods
from his employees house, when he sat
down, complaining of fee •bi very sick.—
His companion ran back and told Mr.
Sykes, who went to the lad and carried him
to the house in a dying conditim He sur
vived but a few minutes. Probably heart
disease.
FATAL CASTILLIT.—We regret to learn that
Mr. Chauncey -Dimmick, of Clymer town
ship, met his death in a very sudden and
unexpected manner last Weditesday after
noon. He had 05nr out into the fields to
gather some sum&er wood, and not return
ing when expecte I, search was 'made, rind
the lifeless bOdy found at the foot of a tree,
which lie had begun to fell. From appear
• , it. seemed that his attention must
have been drawn to the noise made by a
heavy piece lof bark detaching itself from
the tree some forty feet from the ground,
and looking lapward was struck in the fore
head'by the falling bark and instantly kill
ed. Mr. •Dick was but lately married,
was a valuable citizen, and will be very
generally mourned. He was'about 23 yeard
