Ayer's Sarsaparilla.
A COMPOUND REMEDY, in which we
have labored to produce the most effectual altera
ive that can be made. It is a concentrated extract of
Para Sarsaparilla, so combined with other substances of
still greater alteraUve power as to afford an effective an
tidote for the diseases Sa-saparilla is reputed to cure. It
Is believed that such a remedy is wanteJ by those who
suffer from Strumous complaints, and that one which will
accomplish their cure must prove of immense service to
this large class of our afflicted fellow-citizens. How com
pletely this compound will do it has been proven by ex
perinent on many of tbe worst cases to be found ot the
toHowing complaints:—
-SCROFULA, AND SCROFULOUS COMPLAINTS, LRUTTIONS
AND EKUPTIVR DISEASES, UI.CKRS, PIMPLF.S, BLOTCHES,
TUMORS. SALT RHEUM, SCALD HEAD, SYPHILLS AND
SYPIJILITIC AFFECTIONS,MERCURIAL DISEASE, DROPSY,
NEURALGIA OR TIC DOULOUREUX. DEBILITY, DYSPEPSIA
AND INDIGESTION, ERYSIPELAS, ROSE OR ST. ANTHONY S
FIRE, and indeed the whole class of complaints arising
from IMPURITY OF THE BLOOD.
This compound wi;l be found a great promoter of
health, when taken in the spring, to expel tbe foul hu
mors which fester in the blood at that season of the year
By the timely expulsion of them many raukliug disor
ders are nipped in the bud. Multitudes can by the aid
of this remedy, spare themselves Iron the endurance of
foul cruptious and ulcerous sores, through which the
system will strive to rid itself of corruptions, if not as
sisted to do this through the natural channels of tne
body by an alterative medicine. Cleanse out the vitiated
blood whenever you find its impurities bursting through ,
the skin in pimples, eruptions, or sores ; cleanse it w hen
you find it is obstructed and sluggish in the veins;
cleause it whenever it is foul, and your feelings will tell
you when. Even where no particular disoruei is left,
people enjoy better health, and live longer, for cleansing
the blood. Keep the blood healthy, and all is well ; but
with this pabulum of life disordered, there can be no
lasting health. Sooner or later something must go
wrong, and the great machinery of life is disordered or
overthrown. .
Sarsaparilla has, and deserves much, the reputation,
of accomplishing these ends. But the world bus been
egregioiisly deceived by preparations of it, partiy because
the drug alone lias not all the virtue that is claimed jor
it, but more because nrmy preparations, pretending to be
concentrated extracts of it, contain but little ot the v ii
tue or Sarsaparilla, or any thing else.
Dm ing late years the public li ive been misled by large
Dottles, pretending to give a quart of Extract ot Sarsn
parilla tor one Most ot these have hoen fiauus j
upon the sick, for tliey not only contain little, if any.
Sarsaparilla, but often no curative properties whatever,
lience. bitter and puinlul disappointment lias tollowed
the use of the various extracts of Sar-aparilla which
flood the market, until the name itself is justly despised,
and hash cone synonymous with imposition and cheat.
Still we call tliis compound Sarsaparilla. and intend to
snpidv such a remedy as shall rescue the name from the
I'ad of obloquy which rests upoh it. And we think we
have ground tor .believing it has virtues which are ir-j
resist idle by the "ordinary run of the diseases it is intend- j
edtoerue. lo order to secure their complete eradica- j
tjon from the system, the remedy should l>e judiciously i
taken according to directions on the bottle.

Ayer's Cherry Pectoral,
has won for itself sucli a renown for tbe cure of every |
variety of Throat and Lung t omplaint, tnjt it is eniiiely
unnecessary for us to recount the evidence of its liitues,
wherever it lias been employed. As it has long been in \
constant use throughout this section, we need not do'
more than assure the people its quality is kept up to the j
best it ever lias been, and that it may be relied on to do
for their relief all it has ever been iotiud to do.
