upon the recommendation ol the Judging Committees,to
any article on exhibition not embraced in the foregoing
list.
Competitors for premiums on grain and-all other field
crops will observe the following rules :
Ist. The quantity of land specified for each crop, must
be measured in one place.
2d. When grain, the entire crop upon the laud speci
fied must be measured, and one bushel weighed and ex
hibited at the fair.
When Root crops, the entire crop must be measured,
and at least five bushels of eacli (a greater quantity pre ;
ferred,ofau average quality, must be exhibited at the
fair.
3d. The foregoing must be certified to by three respec
table disinterested persons in writing.
Competitors for premiums on milch cows will observe
the following rules :
Ist. The time of the trial to ha the first ten days in
August, and the first ten days in September.
2d. A statement to be made, and certified to in writing -
by one disinterested person, conversant with the facts, j
of the age and breed of the cow, tlte lime of calving, the j
quantity of milk in weight and also ot butter made during
each period of ten days.
Early publication will be made of the general rules of
the Fair.

connected with Normal training.
