"To be, or not to be- hat is the question !
Whether 'tis nobler in the tnind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous opposition,

And opposing, end them."
r pHE proprietor of the Argus take* 0 rasion in adver-
I tiring liis Bindery to indulge in an uncalled for fling
ahont a " -ort of a concern," which is hoping " to delude
the public." As I have opened a Bindery on my own ac
count, the inference is that if the public bring their
leading to me, they are iu no danger of being defrauded.
For two years f have worked for Mr. PARSONS, and he
lias taken great pains t s itisfy the public I was the " best
Binder in America," as the column* of the Argus will
testily. Has he been all that time " deluding the pub

principal. But Infer to my work during that time as
evidence that there has been no fraud practiced.
Having served a long apprenticeship at the Bindery
business, I have resumed biisim-ss here on my own ac
count, as 1 know of nothing which prevents me £rom fol
lowing a legitimate and lawful calling t->r my support

1 E. Clark's Revolving Looper
I DOUBLE THREADED
FAMILY SEWING MACHINE
The Revolving Looper is a lute improvement on Ray
mond's Latest Improved.)
Warranted the best in the world for Family Use !
Price Within the Reach f Every Family.
I'RICE $35.
Hemmer, Feller, Binder & Tucking gnage, combined, $5.
rip HE reputation of this Machine is now fully establish
-1 id as the moat reliable Machine in the market for
family use, and has been attested too by thousands of the
i most respectable families in the Union.
This Machine makes the celebrated " Double Lock
Stitch," the only one made by machinery that meets all
: the'requirements of Family Sewing. Each stitch is tied
twice, so that every one is"securely fastened and wholly
! independent of all the other stitches for strength, so that
if the seam is cut or every fourth stitch broken, the sew
ing must hold good while the fabric will wear. The
machinery Which makes this stiteli is a marvel of sim
plicity, requiring no mechanical skill to manage it, nor
does it require adjustment more than the mere change of
thread and needles to adopt it to the character of the
work to be sewed—coarse or fine as the case may tie. It
will sew gauze lares, and all varieties and kinds of fab
rics between and including heavy beaver cloth, without
I changing either needles or thread equally well, and ro
-1 turn to either variety of work with perfect satisfaction,
j No other Machine ever offered to the public will do as
; much.
j A perfect Sewing Machine, one making a stitch an
swering all the requirements of the family, sewing coarse
. | and tine work equally well, was the great desideratum of
the home circle, previous to the invention of EDWIN
I CLARK'S REVOLVING LOOPER. The stitch is beautiful,
i trong, and .elastic, and icilt not rip in wear or in acci
, j dental breaking a thread.
j Every Machine is warranted to give satisfaction or the
. j mi ner refunded.
