Again in Full Operation !
t TTE have the gratificatic n o r announcing to our frfends, I
? V eustomcrN, and the pubiie, that we are now pre- I
pared to do
BOOK BIMIOUsTG,

and on t'ue most favorable terms.
Having secured, permanently, the services of Mr. 11.
C-WarreiAß.a finished workman from Philadelphia,
and having added extensively to the fixtures of the con
cern—giving greater facility than formerly—we can pre
sent to the public the most positive assurance of our ehil
ity to please our patrons.
" Customers should be particular to remember that
the " Argus Bindery," it in the Argus Building, as form
erly. (first building north of the Ward House) aud is coa
nectea with our Book and Stationery Store and Printing
Office, where ell work should be delivered.
CAUTION'.—We are compelled injustice to ourselves. !
and our old customers, as well as to prevent an imposition
upon tho public generally, to caution them against a sort I
a concern, that falsely holds out to the public that it is j
the Argus Bindery. This //-aud is practiced no doubt,
with a hope of deluding the Public. Against this bold :
and deliberate attempt to deceive, they are hereby eau j
tioned.
<ht Particular attention paid to le-Biading. All work j
guarranted.

Bowanda. March 5 . 1660. E. A. PARSONS.
BOOK BINDERY.
ryHE subscriber having withdrawn from the Argus I
_L building would respectfully inform the public that
he has removed his Plain and Fancy Bindery to the North
Room of the \V'a:d House, formerly occupied by the Post |
Office, where he is now prepared to bind all kinds of
Books in the most approved and workmanlike manner.—
Having to share my profits with no <cuor.d person I flat
ter myseii that my prices will meet the satisfaction of\he
public.
Thankful for the confidence reposed in mo and tb*pub
lie appreciation oT my work, for the last two years, I
shall endeavor in tho future to merit the continuance of
public support.
Particular attention given to re-binding Books. All
work will be warranted. Terms, Cash.
AS" Also, a large assortment of STATIONERY of the !
best quality, at the lowest prices. Justice*' aad Consta
ble's BLANKS, of all kinds.
PICTURE FRAMES, round, square and ova!; and pic
tures framed to order, cheaper than ever known here.
JOHANN F. BENDER,
Towanda, Jan. 11,1860. Bookbinder and Artist.
CAUTION.
" To be. or not to be— hat is the question I
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The siings and arrows of outrageous opposition,
Or by taking up arms against a sea of printing ink,
And opposing, end them."
THE proprietor of the Argus takes occasion in adver
tising Lis Bindery to indulge in an uncalled for fling
about a " sort of a concern," which is hoping " to delude
the public." As I have opened a Bindery on my own ac
count, the inference is that if the public bring their
binding to me, they are in no danger of being defrauded.
For two years I have worked for Mr. PARSONS, and he
has taken great pains t satisfy the public I was the " best
Binder In America," as the columns of the Argus will
testify. Has he been all that time " deluding the pub
lic ?" If I have been engaged in a fraud, he has been the
principal. But I refer to my work during that time as
evidence that there has been no fraud practiced.
Having serTcd a long apprenticeship at the Bindery
business, I have resumed business here on my own ac
count, as 1 know of nothing which prevents mc from fol
lowing a legitimate and bawfnl calling for my support.—
I shall endeavor by good work and attention to my btisi
ness to give public satisfaction.
