NOTICE TO IVKCH ASKUS. —To prevent misunderstand
ing, notice is hereby given that purchasers at Sheriffs
sales will be required to pay the amount bid at the time
the land is sold. It has become imperatively necessary
to adopt tliis rule, and it will be strictly adhered to, ex
cept in cases where the purchaser is a lien creditor and
is entitled to the fund as provided in the Ist section of
the act of Assembly, approved April 20, 1846. whicti is

by Geo. P. Cash, James H. Webb. G. H. Watkins and oth
ers, of Towanda Borough, in the County ot Bradford, was
presented to the Court of Common Pleas of said County,
praving to he incorporated under the name and stvle ot

agreeably to the Constitution annexed to said petition.
Whereupon the same having been perused and examined
by the Court, and the objects, articles, and conditions
therein set forth and contained, appearing to be lawful
and not injurious to the community, the Court directed
said writing to he filed in the office of the Prothonotary
of said Court, and that notice be inserted in one newspa
per printed in the County aforesaid, for at least three
weeks before the next term, that application has been
made to said Court to grant said Charter of Incorporation ,
and, if uo sufficient reason is shown to the contrary, the
said Court will, on the first day of May Term next, decree
that said application be a corporation as prayed for in
the petition.
