Arrangements have been made bv which the Steward
will board both males and females m the Institute, afford
ing them separate rooms for morning and evening study.
Pupils boarding in the Hall, will furnish their own bed,

No pupil taken forks.- than half a term. The boarding
bills for the term must be paid in advance ; or one half
thereof at their entrance, and the remaining half at the
middle of the term.
I'upils entering the Institute are pledged to the obser
vance of the Regulations, and none will be admitted on
other terms.
Especial exercises are arranged without extra charge
for those qualifying themselves as teachers for common
schools.

PROCLAMATION.—Whereas, tlic Hon.
1 DAVID WILMOT, President Judge of the 12th Ju
ili / .al District, consisting of the Counties of Bradford and
Susquehanna, and Honorables AARON Cm'BBCdK, and
JOHN F LONG, Associate Judges, in aud for said county
of Bradford, have issued their precept bearing date the
27th day of Feb. A.I). 1856, to me directed, for holding a
• 'ourt of Oyer and Terminer, General Quarter Sessions of
the Peace, Common Pleas and Orphan's Court, at Towan
d.i. for the County of Bradford, on the first Monday, the
4th day of MAY next, to continue three weeks.
Notice is therefore hereby given, to the Coroners and
Justices of the Peace and Constables, of the County of
Bradford, that they he then and there in their proper per
son. at 10 o'clock in the forenoon of said day, with their
records, inquisitions,aud other remembrances, to do those
tilings which to their office appertains to be done ; and
those who are bound by recognizance or otherwise to pro
ute against the prisoners who arc or may lie in the jail
of -aid County, or who shall lie bound to appear at the
said court, are to be then and there to prosecute against
them as shall lie just. Jurors are requested to be punctual
in their attendance, agreeably to their notice.
Dated at Towanda, the 29th of March in the year of our
Lord, one thousand eight hundred and fifty-seven, and
oi the Independence of the United States, the seventy

lot, piece or parrel of laud situate in the township of North
Towanda. in said county,containing seventy-five acres or
thereabouts, liounded us follows : Beginning at a Norway
pine corner, thence along tlie line of William W. Easta
hrorlv's land, south one hundred and forty-live and a half
rods to a post and stones, the south west corner of said
EfcStabrook's lot : thence by lands of Edward Patterson's
estate and John F. Means, west fifty-six and two-tenths
rods to a corner : thence by lands of L. Ward north five
degrees west twenty rods, north twenty-two degrees west
