the GREEK SLAVE, by iluam Powers, costing
over the thousand dollars ! together with the beau
tiful statues of Venus, Bacchante, Hebe, Flora,and
the Dancing Girl ; and fifteen statuettes in Bronze,
imported from Paris; al-o, a large collection of Oil
Paintings, comprising some of ihe best productions
ot celebratvd American and Foreign Artists.

The payment of three dollars constitutes any one
a member of ibis Association, and entitles him to
the Knickerbocker Magazine for one year, and also
a ticket in the distribution of the Statuary and the
Paintings which are to be allotted to members in
January.
Persons taking five memberships ate entitled to
five of the Magazines one year and to six tickets in
the distribution.
Persons, 011 becoming members, can have their
Magazine commence with any month they choose,
and rely on its bring mailed to them promptly on
the first of every month, direct from New York.
The net proceeds derived from the sale of mem
berships are devoted to the purchase of works ot
art for the ensuing year.
Books open to receive names at the Eastern of
fice, or Western office, Sandusky.
The Gallery of Art is located at Sandusky, (the
W cstern office cf 1 lie Association) where superb
granite buildings have been erected for it, and in
whose splendid saloons the splendid collection of
Statuary and Painting is exhibited.

-Ist. All persons receive the full value of their
subscription at the start, in the shape of sterling
Magazine literature.
2d. Each member is contributing towards pur
chasing choice Works of Art, which are to be dis

ing thousands of dollars through its agency.
Persons remitting funds for membership, should
mark letters ' registered,' and state the month with
which they wish their magazines to commence, and
also /aMr post office address in full, on the receipt of
which, a certificate of membership, together with
the magazine desired, will be forwarded to any pan
of the country.
Those who purchase Magazines at Bookstores will
observe that by joining this Association, they receive
the Magazine und the Pace Ticket in the Annual dis
tribution all at the same price they now pay for the
Magazine alone.

IN pursuance of an order from the Orphan's Court j
of Bradford County, there will be exposed to 1
public sale at the house of J, A. Kingsley, in Smith
lield, at I o'clock P. M., of Saturday the 3d day of
February next, the following described Real Estate,
to wit: The WEST half of a lot of land situated in J
Burlington twp., in said County, formerly purchas
ed by contract by Joseph 11. Dudley and John j
Sweeney, of Stephen Pierce, and the whole lot be- j
ing bounded, beginning at a post, the south east i
corner of John G. Blake.-Jce's land, thence south
152 7-10 perches to the north east corner of a lot, j
heretofore conveyed to Abiram Pierce, thence west, i
101 perches to a post, thence north 1527-10 perches •
to a post, and thence east 101 perches to the place :
of beginning—containing in the whole Ofi acres'
